So fresh and so clean clean

(title referring to Outkast’s “So Fresh, So Clean” from their 2000 album Stankonia)

I took this photo to show proof that my workspace and supplies can, on occasion, be well-organized and neatly-folded. I’m not sure you can quite tell from the shot though, as it almost looks like a “before” photo. But if you’d only seen it before, you’d know…this is an AFTER photo, indeed.

Anyway, I also shot the photo because this view will soon and once again be a picture of disarray. Fabric spilling out of drawers, bolts shoved hastily back onto wrong shelves, cutting surface strewn with rulers, scissors, scraps and other such sewing paraphernalia. And the pins, let’s not forget the pins. Pins everywhere, making it a hazard to even walk through the room, not that there’s much space for walking.

But I look forward to getting there because it means that this little elf will be busy in her shop again. I’ll be starting off with new pillows and pouches, and I have 33.75 yards of brand new eye-catching new fabrics to work with!

happy new year meg! ya i’m pretty lucky to have a dedicated room crafting and sewing, but in my former one-bedroom it was all about one giant “mixed use” living room. =]

good luck with your art classes, they sound great! i love what you created in your Text and Texture class.
