Last week was a good one, incredibly productive! It felt so good to mark off 12 Little Lugs finished for the show. This is one of them, the Little Lug – Floating Water Lotus edition!

Now there’s a matching handbag to the Kisslock Frame Pouch that’s already in the shop. Woohoo! Thanks to Mrs. Lim for suggesting I make these matchies in time for the show.

I snapped some photos along the way, including one of Mrs. Lim helping me cut fabrics for the Lugs! She’s been a great help, coming over once a week lately to help me cut, cut and cut!

This week, it’s on to the Big Lugs and finishing up a batch of 20 kisslock frame pouches that the girls help me cut fabrics for over the weekend (more on that later).

Next week, more pillows and neck warmers. Pillows and neck warmers! With a short break of course for some turkey and quality time with the family. I can’t wait to see the goldens again too. It’s been too long! Depending how far along I am by then, my momma may find herself doing some last-minute thread snipping and tagging for the show while she’s up here. Poor momma! Making progress

With 18 days to go before the San Francisco Bazaar Bizarre Winter 2008 show, I’m feeling the pressure and quality time with my Janome has never been better. Last week we put together a collection of Miss Priss Totes (2nd from the right in the photo below), and this week we’ll have done up a number of Little Lugs in new fabrics (middle batch).

Also on the list are more neck warmers and some new wool felt brooches to go with them. Jimmy seems to enjoy the brooches — so versatile! — so they’re sure to be a winner. =}

Now time to study the Craft Fair Production Schedule and figure out what more work needs to be done. Off I go! Well first, a PB&J + coffee to fill my belly. Mmm that sounds good.Similar Posts:

Little Lugs are here…but hopefully not for long!

It’s been such an action-packed week already. I hit my self-imposed deadline of finishing a set of 8 Little Lugs by yesterday…and 3 of them have already been spoken for! Thanks to you fine ladies who’ve swooped them up — you’ve made me one happy camper indeed! =D

Here’s how the Little Lug – Honeycomb in Blue edition turned out:

Next to their big sister, these cuties seem miniature indeed. BUT…the Little Lugs are sizable totes in and of themselves, measuring in at 12″w across the top x 13″h. And they’re packed with 3 slip pockets inside to help you stay organized, not to mention a key tether — complete with swivel hook — aaaaaand the ever essential lip balm holster!

…and I have picture proof!

The workroom is abuzz with the Echino honeycomb print in ice blue:

For anyone who’s seen the Dollface Coin Purse, you’ll notice that I flipped the little doll faces right back around so they could have a hand at being what their designer originally intended them to be: cute little “modern buds”. To me they work either way. I can’t help seeing dollfaces out of them still, but I can definitely see the blooming buds in them as well.

I love love love the colors in both of these fabrics and the light grey uncut corduroy they’re paired with. Yum! I can’t wait to finish them up and see if anyone else loves them as much as I do. I hope so!Similar Posts:

Ladybug Lug

Here she is, the last of my latest bunch of Big Lug tote bags!

As I mentioned before, I started in on this batch of Big Lugs with the real intent of producing a respectable enough quantity to be able to send an email update about. Sadly, the fabric for three Lugs of the bunch got screwed up during my prewash process, so an already small batch of 12 turned into a batch of 9.

Happily however, more than half of those Lugs sold very quickly! Soooo…I think it’s time to start up on another batch right quick, but only after I finish my set of [dun dunna naaah!] LITTLE LUGS!!! which should be up by the end of the week!
